I don’t call it the Laubach LOCK for nothing… SEVEN AND ZERO on the year.

Week 2: Colts ML at Texans
Week 3: Patriots -2.5 at Jets
Week 4: Commanders +9 at Eagles
Week 5: Colts -2.5 vs Titans
Week 6: Commanders +2.5 at Falcons
Week 7: OVER 37.5 Raiders at Bears
Week 8: Titans +3 vs Falcons
The more gross a pick is, the more likely it is to win. That’s just a fact.
Overall last week we were bad. When it was all said and done, we were 4-4 on the picks. We’re still sitting at 40-22 (64.5%) on the year overall, but I hate giving a 50% week after the bad week 7. Three of the four losses never really had a chance either. Steelers, Chiefs (yikes), and Bears were never covering the number after the first quarter. I think the Commanders should’ve covered and possibly even won outright, but we missed on the hook.

I’m so excited for this week 9 slate. Great Germany game, an awesome afternoon game, and then a clash between top AFC teams for SNF. The noon slate is weak, but we have a Laubach Lock during it to keep the momentum going!
TNF: Titans at Steelers (O/U 36.5, PIT -3)
He still played a solid game, but it wasn’t enough to take down PIT. If you follow us on Twitter, you already have some money in your pocket heading into the weekend.
Pick: PIT -3
Germany Series: Dolphins at Chiefs (O/U 50, KC -1.5)
The game of the year so far is being played in GERMANY?? Excuse my language but what the hell! This is a Chiefs home game! Tyreek Hill and crew should have to come into Arrowhead for a cold afternoon or even primetime game. They shouldn’t be able to weasel away and hide in Germany.
I don’t think it’s going to matter though. Dolphins are frauds. The chiefs are looking for a bounce back. Mahomes as a short favorite has to be one of the most profitable bets that’s ever existed.
Picks: KC -1.5 and Under 50

Seahawks at Ravens (O/U 44, BAL -6)
I don’t love this pick because of how good this other team has looked over the past month or so, but I have to rock with Pete Carroll getting all of these points. The Seahawks made a few moves before the deadline and looks like they’re trying to load up for a slight postseason push. With the Niners’ struggles over the past 3 games, I think Seattle sees a slight opening in the NFC West door.
Pick: SEA +6
Vikings at Falcons (O/U 37.5, ATL -3.5)
The Vikings are absolutely done. The Kirk Cousins injury was kind of sad to see since he was carrying that team to a couple victories in JJettas absence. Kirk was the backbone of this team and not having him out there could really cause some problems.
I think the Vikings rally around his absence and put together a good half of football, but I think the Falcons end up pulling away in the second half.
Pick: ATL -3.5
Cowboys at Eagles (O/U 47.5, PHI -3)
Such a great game. When they promote it on FOX as the ‘Game of the Week’, they really won’t be lying. A huge opportunity for either team to take the first leap towards an NFC East championship.
I’ve already flipped on this game once and I thought about flipping back but I can’t. I initially had Dallas with the points but switched to Philadelphia. I think being in Dallas right now and seeing all of the happy sports fans since the Rangers won their first World Series ever swayed my initial thoughts. The Mavs look good and apparently the Stars are winning (No one cares about hockey), so my gut was to ride the wave and take the Cowboys.
But I can’t. The Cowboys have played one good team this year and got absolutely embarrassed. If I know one thing about Dallas sports teams, it’s that they know how to get embarrassed on National TV. The Rangers didn’t feel that pressure in the WS since it was the least-watched ever, probably due to the DBacks but the point stands nonetheless.
Pick: PHI -3
SNF: Bills at Bengals (O/U 50.5, CIN -2)
The Demar Hamlin game from last year gets a primetime spot yet again. Hopefully, we don’t have any crazy injuries like we had last season, but I am so stoked for this game.
The Bills have not looked good for like a month. Ever since the big win of Miami, they’ve gone 2-2 and honestly should’ve lost to the Giants.
On the other hand, the Bengals are clicking after starting 1-3.
The easy pick is to just follow the trends and say the Bills are bad right now and the Bengals are good. And as much as I hate taking the picks that seem ‘easy’, I’m taking Cincinnati here. I hate doing this but sometimes you gotta get uncomfortable to find a winner.
Pick: CIN -2
MNF: Chargers at Jets (O/U 40, NYJ +3.5)
GROSS MNF GAME. How the hell do we keep getting the Chargers vs some bad team in primetime? I know this was supposed to be the Aaron Rodgers’ Jets but geez. Flex it out or something (disclaimer: I’m not sure if flexing the MNF game is legal).
Don’t even want to watch this but I definitely will because it’s a standalone game. This total seems too high so just give me some points on a cold Monday night.
Pick: Over 40
LAUBACH LOCK
I led with this at the beginning but we haven’t lost yet. If you put $100 on the first lock and rolled it over every week, you’d have around $12,800. Now I just got super depressed looking that stat up, since I haven’t done that. If you haven’t either, then let’s get it started this week with yet another winner.
We’ve bet on this team twice all year, and each time it’s been a Laubach Lock. They’re facing a QB who just got his first win of his career, but he won’t get his second this weekend.
For the third time this year, the Laubach Lock is the INDIANAPOLIS COLTS. Short spread, IND is 3-1 ATS after a loss and 2-1 ATS on the road. Panthers haven’t covered anything except the lone win last week. I like this game to have a lot of points, and that means a field goal cover should be easy.
Laubach Lock: IND -2.5

Let’s have a week and more importantly, GO POKES.
Cheers,
